Christmas

A Time for Giving

At St. Brigid’s, we have always appreciated that Christmas is a time of giving and of charity. We were astounded by the generosity of our school community for the different school fundraising initiatives. Families also gave generously to The Shoebox Appeal and the St. Vincent de Paul which are charities our school have long ties with.

Fun for All Day

The Parents’ Association held their annual Christmas Fun Day on the 26th November. This year, it was held in the Boys’ School. This is an important fundraising activity and the funds are very appreciated by both schools to help fund the various initiatives the children all enjoy. As always, our huge thanks goes to the Parents’ Association for organising the event and for all those who attended to support this lovely day.

Christmas Shows

An annual Christmas highlight in the school are the shows the children perform and that parents can see their girls show their wide range of talents. Classes hosted a variety of nativities, plays, musicals, music ensembles and many Christmas carols were sung.

Christmas Treats

Christmas is a time to indulge and there was no exception throughout all the classes. The month began with classes engaging in an ‘Art for All’ Day where all classes began their Christmas Art with some classes collaborating which you can see in the photos above. Some other classes enjoyed a trip to Cabinteely Park and some even had hot chocolate parties!
