St. Brigid’s Day

St. Brigid’s Day is an important day in our school’s annual calendar. It is the feast day for the saint our school is named after. It is also the traditional day when spring starts in Ireland. We remember the lessons Brigid teaches which we can all follow in our daily lives.

Prayer Service

Fr. Donal Roche came to give a prayer service to our school. The 4th classes sung a beautiful hymn for us and Fr. Donal reminded of the stories of Brigid’s life. Ms. Darcy then reminded the girls how we can follow Brigid’s lessons in our daily lives. Finally, Ms. Carroll made the wonderful announcement that there was no homework for the school to celebrate the day.
