Arrival of Sensory Room
We were very excited with the arrival of our new sensory room! The room will be installed and kitted out over the coming weeks to make this a welcoming and calming space.
4th Class Italian Projects
The 4th classes have been studying all about Italy which included creating mosaics of famous Italian monuments and travel brochures.
New School Furniture
The school was successful in its appeal to the Dept. of Education for new school furniture. It was an early Christmas gift to all with the delivery of new chairs and tables for the girls to enjoy.
Annual Shoebox Appeal
The annual shoebox appeal was another great success this year with dozens of shoeboxes filled with gifts for children in needy countries arriving to the hall. Though we may not know the face of those who receive these gifts, we know that they make a massive difference to these children.
Autumn in Third Class
The Third Classes studied Andy Goldsworthy temporary art pieces made in nature and recreated their own. They also studied the American holiday of Thanksgiving.
6th Class Art
6th Classes created autumn leaves using the pointillism technique & recreated ‘The Great Wave off Kanagawa’ as part of their projects on Japan.
Second-Hand Christmas Jumper Sale
The Parents’ Association along with the Green School Committee held their annual jumper sale, raising €200 for the school. This is a great way to reduce fast fashion and waste by buying second hand.
