October Update

CyberSafeKids Internet Safety Talk

The girls in 3rd-6th class had an informative safety talk from CyberSafeKids Ireland, where they learned valuable tips on how to stay safe online. The session covered key topics like protecting personal information, being respectful on social media, and recognising potential online dangers.

It was a great opportunity for our students to become more aware of how to navigate the digital world responsibly and safely. A big thank you to CyberSafeKids Ireland for sharing such important lessons.

Parents also got the opportunity to learn about internet safety also to keep all the girls safe online.

Wellbeing Week

We were excited to celebrate Wellbeing Week with a series of special theme days designed to promote happiness, mindfulness, and self-care among our students and staff.

  • Mindful Monday: We kicked off the week with mindfulness exercises, helping students practice staying calm and focused.
  • Talk It Out Tuesday: A day dedicated to open conversations, where students shared their thoughts and learned the importance of expressing their feelings.
  • Worry Less Wednesday: Activities centered on stress relief and learning techniques to manage worries.
  • Thankful Thursday: Students reflected on gratitude, creating gratitude flowers to celebrate the positive things in their lives.
  • Feel Good Friday: We wrapped up the week with fun, feel-good activities to boost everyone’s spirits and celebrate kindness!

It’s been a week full of positive energy and valuable lessons on well-being that will stay with our students all year long!

Daily Mile

The school took part in the Daily Mile iniative. It gets children out of the classroom for fifteen minutes every day to run or jog, at their own pace, with their classmates, making them fitter, healthier, and more able to concentrate in the classroom.

Halloween Traditions

Ms. Morris and her 2nd Class were looking at Halloween traditions from long ago. They played an old fortune telling game with a blindfold and tried some báirín breac. They had a frightfully good time!
