Easter Update

Have a look at some photos at how different classes got ready for Easter and celebrated the welcome signs of spring.  Artwork & Projects Look at the various artwork and projects various classes did during Term 2:  The Third Classes studied life in Ancient Rome They also had a visit from engineers during Engineering Week and made aqueducts like those in Ancient Rome.   Here are some other wonderful class activities:

Graffiti Classics

Graffiti Classics made a very welcome return to our school on Tuesday. This quartet play classical music with a twist. The girls had a wonderful time and great fun during the performance.  A special thank you must be extended to Charlotte, Alison, Annabelle, Susannah, Lucy and Safra in the 4th classes for their fundraising efforts at the Christmas Fun Day. The money they raised was used for this special performance which the whole school thoroughly enjoyed.  

Seachtain na Gaeilge

Bhain gach éinne sult as Seachtain na Gaeilge. Bhí spraoi ag na cailíní agus na múinteoirí gach lá. Bhí Gaeilge á labhairt timpeall na scoile agus bhí cultúr na Gaeilge á fhoghlaim agus á cheiliúradh freisin. St. Brigid’s Day

St. Brigid’s Day is a special day around Ireland but we hold it especially dear in our school. We remember this special woman in our school each February and this year was no different. To prepare for the day, many classes made Brigid’s crosses. Some older classes visited younger ones to show them the ancient craft.  Ms. Griffith’s Class with Ms. Kilmartin’s Class. January Update

New Year We welcomed the New Year at St. Brigid’s and were busy with artwork to celebrate 2023 and made some resolutions for the year ahead.  A Huge Thank You to the Parents’ Association We were all delighted to be called to a very special assembly early in January. We found out that the Parents’ Association raised €14,400 at the Christmas Fun Day for our school! This money is always greatly appreciated and the money is spent directly on the …

Christmas Update

We all enjoyed the lead up to the festive season in school.  Every class enjoyed that special feeling which is always in the air leading to Christmas. Many classes had performances which were enjoyed by all in attendance. Beautiful artwork also inspired us. GAA Team Our GAA team was formed again after a long hiatus due to Covid-19. They trained very hard over a number of weeks and played some brilliant matches against other schools. Bhain gach éinne taitneamh as Seachtain na Gaeilge ar scoil. The girls all enjoyed the different activities such as the most Irish lunch box competition, reading stories as Gaeilge and learning céilí dancing.
