RTÉ Filming Day

There was huge excitement at the news that RTÉ had approached the school to film their promo commercial for the Late Late Toy Show. Speer Productions arrived early to set up their cameras and lights. 20 girls had been chosen by lottery to partake as extras in the filming along with other children from outside the school. Halloween Update

For the first time in living memory, there was not one but two dress up days in the days leading to the midterm break! On Thursday, the girls wore their Halloween costumes and on Friday they wore their themed costumes for our fundraiser calendar. Everyone was amazed at the original and realistic array of costumes that came through the doors both days. Brendan Martin Cup

We were delighted to host the Brendan Martin Cup on Friday. This cup is given to the winners of the Ladies All-Ireland Gaelic Football Final. This year, Dublin beat Kerry and all the girls were delighted to be able to celebrate this win at our own school. Blue Star Programme

The Blue Star Programme teaches primary school pupils about European cultures and the EU through creative activities and projects which complement the national primary curriculum. The idea is to foster better understanding and knowledge of Europe and how it affects the lives of Irish citizens among Irish primary pupils in a curriculum friendly manner. Garden Day 2023

The school opened its doors and garden to parents, grandparents, former pupils and other welcomed guests for our annual Garden Day.  The orchestra entranced the crowd with their music and everybody was enthralled and delighted with the choirs beautiful singing. Easter Update

Graffiti Classics

Graffiti Classics made a very welcome return to our school on Tuesday. This quartet play classical music with a twist. The girls had a wonderful time and great fun during the performance.  A special thank you must be extended to Charlotte, Alison, Annabelle, Susannah, Lucy and Safra in the 4th classes for their fundraising efforts at the Christmas Fun Day. The money they raised was used for this special performance which the whole school thoroughly enjoyed.  

Seachtain na Gaeilge
