Christmas Update

Christmas at St. Brigid's

Christmas is in full swing and we are so excited to share the joy and creativity of our pupils with you. From sparkling artwork and merry performances to heartwarming activities, our school has been buzzing with festive cheer. Take a look at what we’ve been up to this season as we come together to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year

National Children's Choir Practice

Each week, the choir has been preparing and practicing the extensive repertoire for National Children’s Choir in 2025.

We were delighted to have Ms. Gillan return for our large practice with Scoil Áine from Clondalkin. Everybody loved the day and are counting down to the next practice

Christmas Art around the School

6th Class Plant Daffodils & Crocuses

The 6th Classes braved the cold weather to plant some daffodil and crocus bulbs. They learnt about the Crocus Project to commemorate the Holocaust after studying about the Second World War & also planted daffodil bulbs in preparation for spring. We look forward to seeing what will ‘spring up’ in a few months time!

4th Class Cat Collage

4th Class are reading the wonderful novel, ‘Kasper – Prince of Cats’ by Michael Morpurgo. They created cat collages from newspaper.

Christmas Disco & Raffle Funraiser

This year, the Parents’ Association organised a Christmas disco for the pupils in the Girls’ & Boys’ School. It was a fantastic day of fun with a very special guest in attendance on the dance floor! The various fundraising activities from this term have raised €15,000 for each school. This funding is vital for supporting the girls in our school and their education.

Christmas in Second Class

Second Class have been getting into the spirit of Christmas this year. They didn’t take any notice of the cold weather when they made their own delicious ice cream in a bag. They also visited the elf tree in Cabinteely Park. They pulled some Christmas crackers and shared some Christmas jokes.

Class Visits

There were all types of visits to classrooms during the month of December. Older classes visited infant classes to help with artwork and other fun Christmas activities.

There was also a special visitor to the classes who wanted to check if everybody was still on the ‘Nice List’!

Luckily, everybody passed the test, even the teachers!
