Summer Update

As we approach the end of another busy and fulfilling school year, we would like to take a moment to reflect on the many memorable events and achievements since Easter.

This term has been marked by several important milestones for our pupils. We were proud to celebrate both First Holy Communion and Confirmation with our students and their families. These were very special occasions and we commend all the children for their preparation and participation. A heartfelt thank you to our staff, parish community and families who helped make these days so meaningful.

Our Sports Days was a fantastic success, filled with laughter, energy and school spirit. It was wonderful to see everyone taking part, cheering each other on and enjoying the sunshine together.

In the spirit of learning beyond the classroom, our school tours were a great opportunity for exploration, fun and hands-on experiences. Each class enjoyed exciting outings that created lasting memories and deepened friendships.

As always, the end of term brings mixed emotions as we prepare to say goodbye to our wonderful 6th Classes. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved during their time with us. They leave with our very best wishes for the next stage of their journey. We know they will continue to shine and make us proud in their new schools.

Finally, we would like to extend a warm thank you to our entire school community—students, parents, staff and friends—for your continued support throughout the year. We wish you all a safe, restful and happy summer break.

We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the autumn for another exciting year.

Open Hive Visit

Kyle from Open Hive visited our 6th classes. Open Hive rears and breeds Irish honeybees. Their aim is to create many hives of honey bees in Ireland sustainably and protect Ireland’s only native honey bee. Kyle brought a hive for us all to see and explain the process of making honey, life cycles of bees and the art of beekeeping.

Europe Day & MEP Visit

Europe Day was a highlight for 3rd Class, who not only took part in activities celebrating European culture and unity, but also had the honour of welcoming MEP (Member of the European Parliament) Barry Andrews to our school. The visit sparked great interest in how the European Union works and encouraged thoughtful questions from our very engaged students.
